Das Dokument gibt einen Überblick über das politische System der USA. Es gibt drei Zweige der Regierung: Legislative, Exekutive und Judikative, die jeweils unterschiedliche Aufgaben haben. Der Kongress (Legislative) besteht aus zwei Teilen: dem Repräsentantenhaus und dem Senat. Der Präsident (Exekutive) ist der Chef des Militärs und hat verschiedene Aufgaben, einschließlich der Ausführung von Gesetzen. Der Oberste Gerichtshof (Judikative) interpretiert die Gesetze. Es wird auch auf das Zwei-Parteien-System in den USA (Demokraten und Republikaner) und deren Unterschiede eingegangen. Die Verfassung der USA ist ein wichtiges Dokument, das die Macht und die Freiheiten der Bundes- und Landesbehörden einschränkt und garantiert. In the primary elections the parties choose their candidates for the general elections. For the general elections there is a so called Electoral college system, what means that the people vote the members of electoral college and this members vote the new president ( indirect vote).
