Beschreibung / Inhalt
Das Dokument beschreibt die Ursachen und Folgen des Atomunfalls in Tschernobyl im Jahr 1986. Der Unfall entstand durch einen Versuch des Vize-Chefingenieurs Anatoli Stepanowitsch Djatlow, der verschiedene Sicherheitssysteme abschaltete und somit eine Kernschmelze auslöste. Radioaktive Partikel wurden freigesetzt und durch Wind und Regen weit verbreitet. Mehr als 200.000 Menschen wurden evakuiert und die verstrahlte Zone ist heute immer noch groß. Laut der World Health Organization gibt es mehr als 200.000 strahlenbedingte Todesfälle, allerdings gibt es auch eine große Zahl an unbekannten Fällen. Die Auswirkungen auf Mensch und Umwelt sowie die wirtschaftlichen Schäden sind noch heute spürbar und die Tschernobyl-Katastrophe gilt als einer der schlimmsten Atomunfälle der Geschichte.

The accident at Chernobyl is the second haviest accident ever, in the whole world. It happened at the 26th of april in 1986. The vice chief engineer Anatoli Stepanowitsch Djatlow wanted to simulate a total breakdown of the factory and their installations, but the attempt triggered a melt down. The gorup of Mr. Djatlow switched off some safety systems, to try again, if the attempt failed. The final triggering became thru the whole shutdown of the factory. Many control rods dived in and the reaktor got a ultracritical value. The chain reaction continued althought the factory was shutdown.
