In dem vorliegenden Dokument handelt es sich um einen Buchreport von Denk aus der Klasse 6B. Der Buchreport beschreibt das Buch „The Writing on the Wall“ von Lynne Reid Banks. Die Handlung des Buches dreht sich um die Hauptfigur Trace, die sich in Kevin verliebt und mit ihm eine Beziehung eingeht. Die beiden planen eine Reise nach Holland, die jedoch aufgrund von Familienproblemen nicht zustande kommt. Die Charaktere des Buches werden genauer beschrieben, wobei Trace als etwas naiv und abhängig von anderen beschrieben wird, während Kevin als eigenständig und selbstbezogen beschrieben wird. Auch Traces Familie wird erwähnt, insbesondere ihr älterer Bruder, der einzige Verständnis für sie zeigt. Das Buch spielt in den 70ern und beschreibt die Punkbewegung sowie die damalige gesellschaftliche und politische Situation in Europa. Insgesamt handelt es sich um eine Liebesgeschichte mit gesellschaftskritischen Untertönen.

Book Report: The writting on the wall written by Lynne Reid Banks Heidi Denk, 6B PLOT:The book begins with an introduction from the main charakter, who is called Tracy. She described the background of the story and introduces the reader to her person. Tracy told something about her family, her lifestyle, her school and about Kevin. She explains why she fancied him, cut her hair and dyed it pink and white. In the second chapter Trace has her first date with Kevin. She told her father that she is going to the cinema wirh a friend of hers and he was pleased. Tracy and Kevin went out in their full gear, which consisted of cheeks, eye-shadow, green lips, tight pants and all this stuff. Kev had not got much money, his father is out of work most of the time and so they had a cheap Macdonalds meal and then they went to one of the arcades. After some games Tracy got a hair-slide, a little butterfly, from Kevin. It was just a imitation gold one with some glittery stones for eyes and shiny blue paint smeared on its wings but for Tracy it was more beautiful than any other thing she had.They went along a railway bridge and Kevin wanted Tracy to drop a paint-spray on to the next train. Tracy didn´t want to and so Kevin tried to get some of the white stuff in her hair but fortunately he was only joking.
