Das Dokument beschäftigt sich mit dem Thema Skateboarding und geht dabei auf verschiedene Aspekte ein. Es wird beschrieben, wie das Skateboarding entstanden ist und wie es sich im Laufe der Zeit entwickelt hat. Zudem werden die verschiedenen Komponenten eines Skateboards aufgelistet und beschrieben, was sie ausmacht. Auch die verschiedenen Arten des Skateboardings werden genannt und erklärt, wobei hier vor allem auf Halfpipe-, Street- und Freestyle-Skating eingegangen wird. Es wird erklärt, welche Tricks bei den verschiedenen Arten des Skateboardings ausgeführt werden und welche bekannten Skateboard-Profis es gibt. Insgesamt geht es in dem Dokument darum, die Faszination des Skateboardings zu erläutern und zu zeigen, wie vielfältig und anspruchsvoll diese Sportart sein kann.

Skateboarding General: The idea of skateboarding is probably a bit crazy; similar to many of the people who do this sport. However, the skateboard, with its two trucks and four wheels, was able to initiate an entirely new trend which began in the middle of the 80th s, mainly in North America and Europe. Skateboards were an answer to the creativity of kids everywhere; they introduced a lot of fun. Skateboarding did not only introduce a new form of transportation or sport to the world however. It began an entirely new philosophy and way of life worldwide. Skateboarding is a great, positive answer in dull, grey city environments where it seems like there is nothing around to do. It manages to introduce a special feeling of freedom and Independence that you cannot find anywhere else. This is something that only someone who has stood on a skateboard before can truly understand. History: It isn t sure where the skateboard was originally invented, or who invented it, but history suggests that it was likely in the early 1950 s, when one or more surfers from the sunny American State of California had the idea to nail roller skates below a wooden board. The surfers then had a new invention which they called sidewalk surfing, that allowed them to skate on the streets when there was not enough wind to surf in the sea.
